Tachyfy's Commitment
At Tachyfy, we take your privacy very seriously. As a tool designed by an independent developer for truck drivers, our philosophy is simple: your data belongs to you.
This policy details how we handle your sensitive information related to your professional activity and identity.
Data Collected
Driver Card Data
When you read your card (USB or NFC), we temporarily extract your name, first name, card number, and your driving/rest activities. This data is processed LOCALLY on your device.
Account Data
Your email address is collected only for account creation and serves as a technical salt to secure your end-to-end encryption key.
Security & Encryption (E2EE)
If you enable cloud synchronization, your files are encrypted on your device BEFORE being sent to our servers. We use robust algorithms (AES-GCM 256). Tachyfy does not possess your decryption key and technically cannot read your activities on the server.
Device Permissions
The mobile app requests access to the USB port (OTG) and the NFC reader only for physical reading of your tachograph driver card.
Your Rights & Deletion
You can view your data, export it, or request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via the app settings or the website.
